What Will My Roofer Need From Me?

As one of our most famous presidents once said: “Ask not what you can do for your roofer; ask what your roofer can do for you”. Or something like that.

We try to follow that saying in our every day work. It’s not our job to hassle you until we get a paycheck. It’s our job to earn your respect by building a roof you feel comfortable living under. With that said, you might still have a few questions about what we’ll need from you.

1-Do I need to be home during repairs or replacement?

No. There is no need for you to take time out of your busy schedule to be there while we do our work. In fact, the jobs go more smoothly when there is no homeowner present, since there are fewer safety concerns for our workers to worry about.

2-Are there any materials that need to be provided?

No. We will bring all of the materials we need with us, or we’ll be there when they’re shipped to your house. We don’t need to borrow any hammers, ladders, tarps, etc. Our guys know what they need to get the job done, and they always come prepared.

3-Will they need access into my home?

This depends on what kind of problem you’re calling us about. If your roof is leaking, then we will need to look in your attic or wherever we can see the roof from the inside to see the extent of the damage.

However, if we’re doing surface repairs or replacing shingles that don’t need any work from the inside, then we won’t need access to your home. We’ll only need to get on your roof.
